Everybody on this board should just start a new race, distinguishable through DNA by the mutations caused by years of high levels of lead in the blood...Race: Gun Owner..."check".

Nahh... Too complicated. You'd have Glock vs XD vs 1911 type race wars, black vs stainless, tan vs OD green. Do I get "reparations" because I'm a first generation P3AT or Glock?

Then people would fight over which ejaculate from whatever "gun" that created them. 9mm vs .40 vs .45 acp "relations" would get even worse. You'd have light weight projectile/sperm created gun owners claiming their "heavy" heritage because baby daddy was a .45 somewhere down the line who shot/impregnated a 9mm baby momma.

Then other "races" of gun owners would claim they're from a different point in space and time... The revolver "beings". Then a worm hole would open up and long gunners would appear. :D

severe thread veer imminent. annnnnnyhow.... im supprised how confusing the relationships between state/tribe/federal laws are. for once cant thing be made simple?

I have NO idea how it works in AZ, but in my state, white man is exempt from tribal law. period. so if your on the reservation, and a tribal cop gives you a speeding ticket, it dont mean a thing. Our local cops advise us to just be polite, dont argue, take the ticket and smile. then when you get home, take the ticket and throw it in the garbage. then when you get a letter from the tribal court stating your in contempt for not appearing on your court date, you reply with a letter stating that you are not a tribal member, and do not consent to appearing in their court as their law is inapplicable to you.

Our local law officers will NOT cross deputize with the tribal police. so this may not apply in your area. dont try it without checking in to it first.
You are either hoping they have an extremely short memory or you have no plans to ever travel that way again. I can only imagine throwing that ticket in the trash and forgetting about it. Then, later, getting stopped again and having to deal with how they might handle that.

Ask the Tribal Leader

Each Native American Tribe has specific rules, ask the Tribal Leader. I find them most friendly and informative. Who knows, he or she may actually put you onto some great game area. You may even LEARN about some tribal history, that would broaden your knowledge. Listening beats Speaking by a landslide. Cliffy

Well, I have lived here all my life, and nobody has ever had a problem with it. bottom line is, they have no jurisdiction over non tribal members. none. If your doing something more than a traffic violation, the only thing they can do is detain you until the state, county, or city police arrive. thats it.

Again, they have NO jurisdiction over non tribal members. they are not cross deputized.

Well, here's a clip from the White Mountain Game & Fish Code that another post had a link to:
