I inherited this shot gun from my grandfather and can find ZERO info about the company online that is stamped on it. It is a .410 break action shotgun. I have no clue how old it is but I'm guessing he bought it in the '50s or '60s.

My WAG is it is:
A Trade name shotgun made by Hunter Arms Co for a hardware, or catalog mail-order company..

Looks to be in excellent condition for that old a gun though.

Looks an awful lot like an old Crescent Firearms Victor Special. They were sold under many different names between about 1890-1930. Not a lot collector value, but reasonably well built.

Some of those came out of the factory with damascus barrels, if it were mine I would have a gunsmith look at it before shooting it, just to be safe.

It's very similar to an old Stevens .410 I have. I got it in a trade back in the mid-1960's and it was old and battered looking then. I have no idea when it was made, but it must be at least 60-70 years old if not older.

I shoot mine often and it still works perfectly.

case colors

I am surprised that the case coloring looks so good yet. definitely not a damascus barrel. I would not be concerned about shooting it. I've never known a gun smith to recommend shooting any older gun due to liability issues. I have a number of damascus barrel SxSs and shoot them regularly with no problems.
