I just bought a retired police revolver that is stamped CCPD 432. The seller was in NYS but what city might CC be? Might be a big department if they had at least 432 revolvers in inventory.

Only one I can think of right off the bat is Carson City, NV.

A collector told me he has a Model 67 stamped CCPD and it went to Corpus Christi. Maybe they carried 67s for unifrom wear and 2" 64s for concealed and off-duty?
