I'm looking for some ammo to the DsHK and the KPV machine guns. Anyone have any leads? Thanks.

This seems high to me.
12.7 mm

14.5 mm
The original rounds are $150 each and correct hardness projectiles ( which you can load in my $50 primed and original powdered
cases) are $90 each.

I second looking at Big Sky. They are local here, I got some stripper clips from them awhile back. They do carry odd stuff.

For $4900, I'd contact Starline and see how much they'd charge to do a custom run of cases just for me first, then load 'em myself. Some brass makers will do that if you buy enough.

Not to seem paranoid, but I saw this awhile ago and couldn't help but think that a guy who does not appear to speak English as their first language wants ammunition for machineguns that are common in former Soviet and some third world nations (some with large Islamic populations), are rare in the USA, and if properly registered in the US would be rather expensive. However picked up in a third world market are probably some of the least expensive reliable heavy machineguns out there. Shopping in Somalia or Yemen you could get a great deal...
How many people that speak limited English reside in the US and have multiple expensive legally registered NFA firearms comparable to say an M2? (With the 14.5MM being almost twice as powerful as the .50 BMG.)
Most people that speak limited English in the US are not in the income bracket that can afford such things.


You are not a foreign terrorist planning to smuggle in some heavy machineguns without all the bulky and heavy ammo of such calibers and want to know where to buy the nearest ammo to feed them once they arrive are you?

What do you mean "doesn't appear to speak English?" His English looks good to me.

And even assuming your "terrorist" theory wasn't complete paranoia, why would you think smuggling machine guns would be easier than smuggling some ammunition? If I could get 12.7 or 14.5mm machineguns cheaply overseas, I'd pick up some ammo too.

And there are plenty of very wealthly people in the United States who speak English as a second language. I've met some surgeons who make more money in a year than I'd make in a lifetime who I can barely understand when they speak.

I really don't think that xenophobic paranoia has any place on the High Road.

FWIW, the most common use for 12.7 Russian here is the batch of DShK kits that were available not too long ago. The 14.5mm was used in the PTRS and PTRD antitank rifles, which are relatively cheap (for NFA items) thanks to the scarcity of ammo.

have you seen the size of a machine gun that fires 14.5mm ammunition?

If you could smuggle that into the country, you could smuggle a bunch of ammo in too.

I mean, the mexian drug cartels smuggle in millions of pounds of drugs into our country every year, Im sure someone bent on evil could convince them to smuggle ammuniton/guns/any thing else they could possibly want as well.

That's pretty funny. I might not speak good English, but it is the only language that I know. I would like to think that the internet is pretty well watched by authorities anyways, and I know that I could be tracked. Nothing to worry about on my part since I am not doing anything illegal. If you had some ammo then we would have a more lengthy conversation about purchasing it.

Thanks for the input about big sky. I will probably make a purchase tomorrow from Sean. I would like to think that this ammo is way to expensive to be involved in any kind of terrorist plot.

I am very excited about shooting 14.5mm, those youtube videos look awesome. Just sucks we cant afford to go full auto!
