Anyone make a monopod for stediness

i'm thinking of getting a 8-10" revolver, but i'm afraid it may "wobble" too much. i'm hoping someone makes a "monopod" that i could hold w/ 1 hand and rest the barrel on it to stabilize it.

any suggestions?

I just picked up a monopod from the Sportsman’s Guide for about $25. Actually its an adjustable hiking staff with a wood ball on the end and a wrist strap (similar what you would see on a ski pole) However I picked it up specifically to use as a monopod for my hunting rifle to help me steady it when shooting out of my hunting blind. You can unscrew the wood ball and screw a V shaped device that allows you to steady your rifle and I’m sure you could use it for your revolver too! It also has another device that screws on so you could put a camera or spotting scope on the top. And, it has a rubber boot on the end that can be removed to reveal a steel tip for ice (or poking) and, a detachable snow basket (again similar to what you would see on the end of a ski pole.) I tried it out when I sighted in my rifle prior to our firearms deer season and it worked excellent! Opening day I used it and got me a nice doe.

Buy a monopod from Ebay,look in photography.You can buy the V shaped piece at most gun shops,I think Stoney Point makes them,it'll screw right on.

Stoney point walking stick works very well for me. I have one with a wooden knob for walking and a v for hunting.

As a photographer as well as a shooter, check the max ht. of the monopod. Many are only 48-50". You will want eye level plus a little depending on your firing position. My mono extends to 65" (I'm 5'8") and my Tripod goes to 70". Still think a set of hunting sticks would provide more stability.
