I see lots of belgian and french pinfire revolvers on GB that are old and affordable. I've seen the kits to assemble your own reloadable pinfire ammo, although the kit is +$200.

Does anyone shoot a pinfire here?

My only concern is that I can't find a single source for parts for those revolvers, and a lot of them need a spring or two.

I have a little 2mm pin-fire blank pistol if that counts.

Truth be known, pin-fires scare the heck out of me.
The ammo is very dangerous, as the slightest bump or pressure can ignite them in your hand, pocket or pouch. That was their downfall even back when they were making them.

The rimfire or central primer contained inside the case proved to be much safer & reliable for general use.

I shoot some pinfires. I have also reloaded the old shells. It’s not to hard
to do. Just look in a fired pinfire case and you can tell how to reprime
them. I still have one that I shoot now and then, they can be fun.

As far as parts go, if they are worth fixing then the parts are not that hard
to make. I have made loading gates, ejector rods, springs and things.
Not that hard to make most of it. :cuss:

So, do you have one yet? I liked the 7mm ones the best but then I like
little guns if I am just plinking. My largest was a 14 gauge.

Good luck to you. Let us know if you get one.

Well I haven't bought one yet, that's why I was asking. I would hate spending $ on a gun if I can't shoot it due to missing parts. I don't have the ability to make parts, I can just tweak and tinker.

Also the gun budget right now is non-existant, but it's fun to window shop (Gunbroker window shopping that is).

How much powder fit in respectively 7mm, 9mm, 12mm pinfire cases? I could never find the information.

Thank you in advance.
