I'm nuts for my Sigs, and lately I've been pondering their take on the classic 1911. Any feedback from current owners would be appreciated.

I just bought one last month, and I'm very pleased with it. The fit and finish is great, and the accuracy is there as well. When I first took it to the range

The grip-safety has a raised radius against the shooters' hand, instead of a lower "bump". Feels different, but not at all uncomfortable. It came apart like a normal 1911, no special tools needed. Components were snug, but not overly tight. Slide to frame fit is very good. Visual evidence of contact along slide/rails indicate about 90% contact, and very smooth. Book says trigger pull is 4.5 - 5.5 pounds.... can't measure it accurately, but after a few hundred pulls with a snap cap in place, I'm ok with it. Got a holster from Kirkpatrick Leather and a mag pouch for $80 to my door.

top two rested at 25'...... then rapid at 15'

I have a Revolution in stainless. Very nice pistol, I am quite pleased with it.

Warts and all ...

I bought a Revolution Carry stainless in Feb. 2007. I want to like it, but it has been a disappointment. It had numerous failures to feed, starting with the second shot I ever fired through it. After well over 500 rounds fired it got better, but was still not 100%. I sent it back to Sigarms, who polished the feed ramp. This pretty much eliminated the FTFs, but then it started failing to extract due to a broken extractor claw. So it went back to Sigarms a second time, this time on their dime (they e-mailed me a UPS shipping label which I printed out and put on the package). Provided it is run almost dripping wet with lube, it functions OK now and is very accurate. I like its features like a checkered frontstrap, no plastic or MIM parts (so they say, but the extractor breakage looks very much like a MIM problem), night sights, exotic wood grips and the lack of a full length guide rod (it takes down easily with only my fingers), but all these problems have left a bad taste in my mouth.

I have one

I have a Nitron Revolution. I am very happy with it. Accurate and reliable.

I just picked up a new Revolution Carry on June 4th. It came with two magazines that look like Chip McCormick products although supposedly they come from Italy. Anyway for the first 100rds I had a problem with the last round in one of the magazines failing to feed properly. The other mag worked fine. After the first 100rds I have had no further problems. I didn't clean the weapon until after 250rds. Accuracy was excellent. Weapon is tight and yet can be disassembled without a bushing wrench which I really like. I have several other Sigs (226,228 & 229) all of which are top notch so I was very happy with the quality of this pistol. I use Wilson Combat white grease rather than oil because I carry more than I shoot and the grease stays put longterm. Check me off as a very satisfied owner!

Update: I officially HATE mine

Just got back from the range. I had to cut my session short because A - the circular plug that accesses firing pin safety parts in the slide fell out, along with who knows what else; B - the rear sight shifted a quarter inch to the left; and C - it still had two failures to feed. I'm sure they will take care of it like the last time, but this is maddening. :banghead:
