Oh Hi Oh
I'm looking for front sight options for a S&W Model 60. It has a 2" barrel and non-adjustable sights (in fact no rear sight at all, just a gutter). I have tried painting the fronnt sight with various colors to make it more visible. Not much luck with that.

I can buy an XS Sight Big Dot for around $80 (with shipping) and can probably install it myself.

Hi_viz makes sights for S&W but nothing for the Model 60. They tell me it will not work due to the absence of an adjustable rear sight. However, I know there are a lot of folks on this board who like to tinker and I'm wondering if anyone has had success with a Hi-Viz on a M60. Yes, I know Hi-Viz are a bit on the ugly side, and some consider putting glowing plastic on an M60 an unatural act, but I just can't work with the existing front sight.

I'm open to other suggestions too, as long as they don't involve switching to a different model revolver.

I had a model 66 3" with the hi-vis sight....and it was terrible for anything but sloppy short range shooting. I swapped it out for a white outline rear sight and a red ramp front. Much nicer after that :) Then I traded that gun for a 4" model 19 nickel that I'm restoring now.
