Not HP's, but I have loaded many Ranier 115 Gr RN bullets. Start at the bottom of jacketed data and work up. They are not limited to lead data, but can not use some max jacketed data either. Plated bullets are their own little animal.

That said, I routinely shoot the 115 Ranier at max jacketed data with N330, WSF, and AA #5. I would suggest stopping at 80% of jacketed data if you are not comfortable with it.

Dan -

The Alliant Powder web page shows 4.7gr of Bullseye as the max load, when using a minimum OAL of 1.125 inches. That would mean you'd start loading at 4.2gr (10% less) using any OAL at or longer than 1.125 (and of course not to exceed 1.169).

This info came directly off this page.... Alliant Data. Learn to use the powder maker's web page! That's your best resource.

Also to remember....
• As your OAL gets longer, you'd need to slightly increase the load. Exactly how much you can learn by experimentation.

• Further reduce this published load by approximately 0.1gr because you're using plated bullets.

That's it. Hope this helps!

I use Rainier 9mm 124 grain plated HPs. Use jacketed data as stated above by Walkalong. As long as you don't exceed 1200 fps you'll be just fine...
