These are from talisman crossbows in the UK. I watch the baby during the day & can't take her to the rifle range. So I bought a bow and take her to the archery range. I'm thinking of getting into crossbows now. I'm not really liking any of the U.S. offerings. Most are compound crossbows. Anybody know anything about these particular crossbows?

they sure are nice, but most states you haveto be disabled to use a crossbow. i know here in carolina you have to be certified by two doctors and have a special permit.
ive been shooting crossbow pistols for ten years now and have gotten fairly good at 50 yards with shots in the inch to inch and a half circle
but the quarrels are hard to find and the strings i have to make myself out of wrapped waxed dental floss. good luck and good shooting and teach that baby to shoot when shes old enough

+1 On what Bobby said...

Also, you are required to have a pistol purchase permit in order to buy a crossbow in North Carolina. I was very suprised to learn that. The NC General Legislature passed that requirement back in the early 90's.It seems that some folks think it should be a controlled item.

Be sure to check up on your local and state regs. Some places frown upon archery practice within city/town limits.

In Arkansas able bodied hunters can use cross bows during bowhunting season.
