I've been out of the struggle for most of 2005, something I plan to correct in the new year. California's Larry Elder made a documentary slapping Michael Moore that I am featured in but I haven't seen it. Has anyone on the THR checked it out? If so, what's your honest opinion? I think you can get it on Amazon.com. Anyone mind updating me on what's going on in the world? Private emails welcome. I've been focusing on my new vocation in Christian ministry so I have been a little busy. The Good News is there will soon be a pro-gun Christian church pastored by a PRO-2A blackmanwithagun where most of its members are of the same mind. The church is going to be virtual as well as local to minister unconventionally to all that want it.

Haven't shot in awhile. Help a brother out. Happy New Year THR's.

Micheal and Me

I bought the "Micheal and Me DVD from Amazon.com and I think it is excellent. Black Man With a Gun, if you were the guy who wore the tee shirt with that logo, you should get a free copy of the DVD. You were really impressive.

I saw it, but will have to watch it again to give a thorough review - had to view it in several sessions with little ones running around. There was a lot of factual and sensible discussion - just what many don't respond to. The answer is to repeat the positive messages as often as possible and to somehow get it more into the mainstream. A great effort, though.

Excellent video

Very well done, although I could have lived without the Interview cartoon. I recommend it to friends and family regularly.

:p

recommended viewing

I've seen it, I bought it at the same time I bought a Christmas gift for the wife. While there's no material in it that will be 'news' to THR members, it would make for great viewing for fence sitters, or uninitiated (non shooters with no real knowledge of the topic), etc.

Kenn, will services be followed up with range time, or will that actually be part of the worship? ;)

Heck, yeah!! (Also Soldier's Pay)

It was really quite excellent... 2nd Amendment Sisters, folks on the "Street", Paxton Q., Larry Pratt and Kenn. Quite a star-studded cast, even with lawyers in the mix.

EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THIS DVD ON HAND FOR VIEWING AND LENDING!

Highly recommended.

Also, take a peek at SOLDIERS PAY - the DVD has some Pro-RKBA elements in it, one featuring an AR-15 - that came from the same gunsmith mine did...

Muchas Gracias, Obrigado and Thanks

I haven't been anywhere lately, we still got the SHOT show, KNOB CREEK and other events happening?

Kenn,

Glad to see you back with us! Bad news is that things in MD are the same as ever.........the good news is that there is still plenty of work for us all to do ;)

I watched it yesterday, and give it 2 thumbs up. It touched upon almost every aspect of gun ownership from the perceptions of people on the street to law enforcement, former gang members & longtime RKBA activists. I found it to be a refreshing counterpoint to the anti-gun garbage we get in the mainstream media. I really enjoyed seeing all the pro-gun people I've only read about (including you, Mr. Blanchard). The segment where a woman was victimized by a brutal rapist & the 10-day waiting period to purchase a handgun was heartbreaking. The stories of defensive use of firearms were uplifting. The part where Kenn compares gun-controlled inner cities to plantations was thought provoking. The only part I didn't care much for was the cartoon. It detoured the film away from the high road it had taken up to that point. The only other thing is that the film set itself up as a follow-up to "Bowling for Columbine." It gave me the impression that one would have to watch "Bowling" first in order to get the full effect. I haven't seen "Bowling," and after hearing Michael Moore spout his anti-gun beliefs in the film, I doubt if I ever will. However, "Michael & Me" stands on its own, and people who have seen "Bowling" should watch this film to rinse Michael Moore out of their brains.
