Anyone seen the new Beretta 92 Steel I ?

Has anyone seen one? Asking price? Your impressions?

From what I see on the site I like it. Biggest thing I didn't care for with the 92 was the safety. However, this model corrects that.

Could be a good pistol.

It's not really that new. Been out for a while now.

I had a Vertec before, and didn't really like it as much as the standard grip. If they offered a steel model with the old grip, I think it would be more popular.

I do like the frame safety, and I wish Beretta would realize there is a market for this, and sell a regular 92 w/ the frame safety. So far, only certain rare models like the Billenium and 92 Stock had them.

I think the gun is over priced for what it is, though. Other than the wow factor, I think $1000 or so could be better spent. It is a nice gun, don't get me wrong. But I imagine that it is no more accurate than a standard 92 - just a little better soaking up recoil with the heavier frame. And, a trigger job on a standard 92 will probably give U something similar in trigger feel.

The gun did have a bit of my attention early last year, prior to my episode w/ a Vertec, which wasn't so good.

it appears that Beretta went with the Saftey the same way taurus Did.
Looks like a real nice sidearm ( And should Be for that price)

I've only seen them for the $1000-$1100 range myself.
