I am curious if any of you shoot multiple type of shotgun actions for different purposes?

I have 18" and 28" 870s. The short barrels are for home defense. I have hunted and shot clays with the 28" barreled 870s. But, for skeet and hunting, I was thinking of going to a semiauto. I just shoot them better at flying objects.

Do you mix up your action types or just stick to one platform for everything?

I am all over the map as well. In a somewhat rural setting an 870 turkey with X-full is the HD.

I have semi-autos (20 and 12) for skeet and sporting clays, a single-shot for trap, and a pump for spare/loaner/HD. I have two barrels for the pump: 18.5" cylinder-bore and 28" interchangeable-choke.

I have pumps, a semi, a SXS, and an old single shot. I like the variety.

I shoot O/Us, SXS's, pumps, and semi autos for sport, for HD I use semi autos exclusively. My 1100 is set up as my 3 gun match shotgun and serves as my primary. It has a 26 inch barrel and holds 10+1. My backup HD shotgun is a HK Benelli 121M.
