Just wondering if anyone here has tried Norma powder. I've seen it for sale, but never used any and I've never heard of anyone using it. Anyone try it? Did you like it? Ball, extruded, clean, dirty, ....?
Thanks!

I have never met or heard reports about the Norma powders. I have noticed it for sale at Powder Valley but never locally. I was a little bit curious myself and looked at their reloading data online. It costs less than Vihtavuori but more than Hodgdon or Alliant. But I wouldn't have the advice from all the "experts" around me who tell me not to waste my time using H4350 for that caliber when H4831 is clearly the very best, etc.

I would be interested in hearing any first hand experiences with the Norma powders.

Several of the Bofor's powders (mfg. of Norma powders) are available over here with different names. Alliant's RL22 powder is nothing more than Norma MRP with a slight coating change to the powder. Since RL22 is much more available and reasonably priced, it's what I buy.

I've used Norma MRP, magnum rifle powder, in my 300 Weatherby with good results. Great accuracy and velocity and cleaner than a lot of rifle powders. Like mentioned, it's supposed to be equivalent to Reloder 22 which I have not tested.
