Anyone try to re-barrel a SVT-40 Tokarev?
I have one that I am considering selling, but I was also thinking about a new barrel. Brownells has the reamer and gages, Lilja would most likely be able to cut most of the contour. The rest does not look that hard. This also may turn out to be a complete headache.
The reason for this is that in CA. semi-auto rifles that are legal are quite limited. I know that this is a collector’s item, but I own it already and a nice new barrel would make it a nice shooter. I realize that this could seriously affect the value.
Any thoughts?
