Anyone use COOKING spray as a case lube?

Maybe if you use the cooking spray in the right manner, you can shoot your deer, cook the venison, and have instant burgers as soon as the deer drops!

I also have always used RCBS.
That's probably why I never get a deer.
If I used cooking spray, I would probably get one.

once I tried Imperial Sizing Die Wax.... I never looked back and never felt the need to look elsewhere...

Two years and some thousand applications later, I've barely made a dent in the tin....

Thinking about shining my shoes with it just for kicks and giggles.. :)

Figured that I might upgrade to a more modern case lube. WRONG!!! One Shot caused several stuck .30-06 cases (I did read and follow the instructions).

I didn't read the instructions first and ended up with stuck cases and those quaint little dimple around the neck. THEN I read the instructions and just got stuck cases.
I went back the RCBS case lube and haven't had one stuck case or any dimples yet.
PS: ABC's of Reloading explains it beautifully. :)

Walmart - oil pump-o-matic

I forget the actual name of the product, but you can get "food grade" spray bottles from Walmart that have a pump in the top - for a couple bucks.

These are meant to spray stuff as heavy as cooking oil, and pump to a nice pressure. They work just great. If you take one of those and put your favorite cooking oil - or lanolin and alcohol - you're home free. And you don't even wreck the ozone layer with it.

Pick one up for the wife, too. It'll make you a hero.

Still trying to find a decent lube that is easy to apply, works, and is easy to tumble off without discoloring the brass.

you haven't looked that hard - I posted above about the wire lube...excellent stuff, minimal tumble to remove and inexpensive.

Another happy user of silicone spray lube on my pistol brass. I prefer the kind that evaporates/dries clean like Prestone or CRC brands. I don't use the Gunk brand, it leaves an oily residue behind.
