HI all. Dumb question of the day time. I was wondering if anyone has used the 200gr Hornady TAP in 45acp. I just got a few boxes off of a friend who traded his 45 for a 9mm (45 got too expensive to shoot on the regular). My USP seems to like it and it recoils pretty soft, but I am kind of wear of a standard pressure 200 gr round for SD.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Fred

I carry a Ruger 345. It's loaded with TAP 200s. They shoot/feel like my handloads but will be easier to explain to a jury.

Other than the price, I truly like 'em. Fortunately, no after-action reports yet.:scrutiny:

Ain't that the truth

They do feel like they shoot soft to me and since I don't own a crono, I have to take Hornandy's word for it. My USP is usually stocked with either 230 hydra-shocks or Remmy 185+P HP's. These TAP's seem like a nice all around round, but I am a bit skeptical.
