I'm looking around at this platform (AR in 308), and this has piqued my curiosity. I did a price check, and you can get a complete lower ($299) and complete upper (somewhere in the $300's) from them, and get a complete rifle for under $700.
I understand it's not a widely respected brand, but I've got a couple AR uppers from them, and haven't had any complaints with what I got.

One of the things I've seen mentioned frequently online, is that you want to match manufacturers of upper and lower, or it gets to be a crapshoot to run these. And I've also learned there are 2 major formats- Armalite, and DPMS... and DPMS is the more common, more affordable of the two.

I've seen a couple good reviews online, and like I said, I have some uppers from them that run fine. Anyone here have one, or shot one, that can give their impressions?

A friend has one with the short barrel and matched it to a PSA EPT lower, he has already replaced the stock and the trigger on the lower and has installed a single chamber brake on the upper (its loud). I've heard of some lowers not matching up well, both color and fit, one only needed a little filing and a magic marker to correct.
We also have had success with the BCA uppers and will buy from them again

I don't know what size groups it will get with good ammunition but a friend has a BCA upper with a 20" barrel on his .308 AR. He has cut in a 300 yard range on his land & when I went to see him we were shooting steel (18" x 18") between 100 & 300 yards. It functioned fine. I liked it. We were using cheapo steel cased ammo.

I have a number of their AR-308 sized uppers. Some shoot awesome and very accurately. I couple I've had to work on or send back, mostly for barrel/feed ramp issues.

Aero M5/AR-308 lowers fit the Bear Creek AR-308 uppers and are much better made than the Bear Creek AR-308 lowers, in my opinion. I bought one of the Bear Creek .308 rifles several years ago and had nothing but problems with the lower. Send it back to Bear Creek twice and they were never able to fix the issues so they actually paid me to take it to my local gunsmith to rectify the problems. Maybe their lowers are better now, but complete Aero M5 lowers aren't much more expensive and are first rate.

I haven't had much better results with the Bear Creek AR-15 lowers, either. They claim they make all parts in house and it certainly shows sometimes. But some of their match barrels, when you can find them, are among the most accurate AR barrels I have.

I highly recommend Aero Precision lowers (and uppers) and they have fit all my Bear Creek uppers perfectly, both AR-15/308.

That's why I say BCA is alright if you know how to rip apart an AR, check for proper assembly including re-torquing the barrel, as well as polishing feed ramps if necessary. If you're handy they can be great. If this is babies first AR-10 I'd pay the money for a complete gun from SW, Windham, or if you got the dollars, DD, lwrc, etc.

BCA are the ones who taught me to do exactly that years ago. It's a skill that has come in handy dozens and dozens of AR builds later, but it was not particularly appreciated at the time. I still cannot recommend their lowers though. I've seen too many out of spec with fitment issues.
