i'm not a fan really of lady di, but it's cool to have stuff on it, and colors. why's it got to be all black, chrome, whatever... boring!

people always say how guns are 'family heirlooms'. ok, why not put a pic of who's it was right on it? then like 5 generations from now, you can see the person still. kinda like the tombstones with old pictures on them= cool!

My guns are not a place for that sort of personalization. I'm not saying it's wrong, I just wouldn't go for that.

I wouldn't worry about getting banned. Everyone here has their opinion, you clearly have yours. As long as you follow the rules and are respectful in delivering that opinion you should be fine. The High Road is run by good people.

Pink guns for girls

Firearms shops in the US are stocking pink rifles and shotguns to encourage girls to get into shooting.

A report in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel says the Gander Mountain hunting store in Waukesha stocks several pink guns.

They include a Remington 20-gauge shotgun with a pink and black stock emblazoned with the slogan: "Shoot like a girl if you can!"

Store manager Chris Hanson said the guns were aimed, so to speak, at girls and women interested in hunting.

He said the shotgun, and a Crickett rifle with a bright pink stock, were both selling well.

In Baraboo, Jim Astle, owner of Jim's Gun Supply in Baraboo, has been coating guns in pink and other colours for four years. His 12-year-old daughter owns a pink camouflage shotgun.

"Females want to shoot guns, but they want them to look pretty, too," he said. "Guys could give a rat's butt what their gun looks like."

Connie Cody, a 48-year-old administrative assistant in Kenosha, said she wishes she had seen pink guns for sale after she completed her hunter safety course 18 months ago.

Since then, she has bought a 9-millimetre pistol, a .357 revolver, a .38 Derringer and a .380 pistol, all in traditional colours.

"If they stock them," Cody vowed after learning about pink guns, "I'm going to buy one."
 
I've heard plenty of comments fom men about how ugly this or that rifle is. Ugly AK, etc.

I do think that it's a good idea to get more women and teen girls interested in shooting for their own self protection.
I know I wish my family had been involved in the sport of shooting when I was younger then there wouldn't be so much fear and apprehension associated with guns. As a very very new shooter I'm having to learn to overcome this but am doing so.

I put a certain amount of weight on looks. I just can't bring myself to buy what I consider an ugly gun. There are too many good guns out there to settle for one that's not both functional AND aesthetically pleasing.
 
gotta side with KARENTOC, i'm sure there are many guns that are very good, but if it looks like the north bound end of a south bound skunk, I wont give it a second look, to many nice looking AND high quality guns out there!
 
Hey!!! Didn't that one belong to Saddam Husseins "other" son that he kept in the closet hidden from the world? Actually if prices keep going the way they are, at $1072 you may start to see these at the range!
 
A Hello Kitty AK? I like that shiny finish. Mother's Day IS coming soon. Nice but not the price, maybe need to make my own version.
