I'm looking for a ring/base combo to mount my first high dollar scope. I'm looking for long range precision. Caliber is 7mm RM.
Spuhr seems to be the best, but I also hear you don't need a $410 for a solid, reliable mount.
Badger seems to have a good reputation, but for what the base+rings costs, I may as well get a Spuhr.
I also heard good things about Seekins, and $200 for a base/mount combo seems very reasonable... if they'll hold everything together from shot to shot.
Any drawbacks to using aluminum? Will the Seekins take care of me? What is the benefit of the more expensive stuff?
