I didn't say that.

But my guess is that is how the 'in favor of' numbers got so high to begin with...

Maybe Police should ban themselves from using AW

Ok, this is rich. Considering the recent crimes in the national news committed by Law Enforcement, maybe they shouldn't be the ones pointing the finger! Now, I don't want anyone to think that I'm bashing Law Enforcement, which I'm not. In my hometown we have a great police force that does a great job of keeping the Youngstown riff raff out of our area. However, these crimes committed by law enforcement (I'm referring to the 6 deaths committed by the young officer in Wisconsin, and the officer who killed his girlfriend and unborn child here in Akron, OH.) only furthers my point that officers are just as capable (if not more so) in committing murder just like us lowly peasants. In my second example no AW was used, but it was still an example of a supposed honorable member of the LE community committing a heinous crime. My response to this group pushing for more restrictions on responsible gun owners is this: Maybe you should worry about policing your own, before you start proposing poor legislation on those who actually follow the law. I realize that these two particular officers were just bad apples, but LEOs should be working WITH responsible gun owners not trying to erode our rights. Again, I apologize if this is construed as being anti-LEO, but I'm tired of this "Do as I say, not as I do" mentality that is so prevalent in virtually every aspect of "government"

LOL. The FBI releases stats showing "assault weapons" are used in about 1% or less of violent crimes... yet they want a ban.
