The "less strict" and "about the same" are winning if you combine them, with morons ahead with more single votes (43% 33% 24%).
This is all about wording. The american public is easily influenced by certain words because they don't think deeply about anything anymore (that would take too much effort). Using the word "strict" is calculated to lead people to select the more gun bans option. No one wants to be seen being against being "strict." In people's minds, strict = good REGARDLESS of the context. Dumb but welcome to modern america and it's "entertain me" culture.
Any honest poll would not use vague words like "strict." An honest poll would ask an upfront question like "should there be more gun bans or fewer gun bans or the current gun bans are just right." Because that's what we're really talking about here are BANS. There's no such thing as "strict gun laws" without bans. When people hear words like "control" they think that applies to SOMEONE ELSE, and sadly they don't care. And like the word "strict," it equals "good" in their mind because they superficially think "how could control, or strict possibly be bad?"
