I have the Apex Flat-Faced Forward Set Sear & Trigger Kit installed on my M&P CORE Pro Series 9mm. APEX includes 2 trigger springs with the kit, one is lighter than the other. I have the lighter one installed on my gun. However, I have an issue with light primer strikes (about 2 or 3 out of every 100 rds). Short of replacing the trigger spring with the other one I got in the Apex kit, is there any other adjustment that can be made that would prevent the light primer strikes. I shoot that gun very well and I would hate to replace the spring with a heavier one and have it affect my shooting.

How much difference is there between the 2 springs as far as how they affect the trigger pull.

Extra power striker spring WILL impact your trigger pull a little. But I'd rather have the gun go bang every time personally. I have the M&P core with Apex FSS sear and trigger and I use the stock (lighter) trigger spring and OEM striker spring. I have had exactly one failure to ignite in 12,000+ rounds.

Which trigger spring you use should have zero impact on primer strike force. Replace your striker spring and clean out the channel.

Apparently Glock striker Springs fit. You might want to read this thread

Thanks for the info. I doubt the channel needs to be cleaned out, the gun only has less than 1000 rounds through it. Where is a good source to get a extra power striker spring? Brownells?
