Just curious as to how many of you AIWB? If so, which holster/gun combo worked/not worked for you. Feel free to post pics :)

Btw, i would be using an M&P9c

thanks in advance

I *sometimes* appendix carry, although it is not technically appendix carry it is where my appendix would be if it were on my left side. I use a 2 holster belly band and sometimes carry a .380 or something of similar size of my support (left side). Appendix carry only really works if you use a really small pistol or pocket sized pistol OR you don't sit down much during a day. It is rather uncomfortable to carry a larger sized firearm there.

While I am a bit round for appendix carry, I have many customers and several friends who do. I make this type of holster for that purpose and it gets good reviews.

I'm afraid the old "spare tire" makes this form of carry impractical for me! :p

Due to a shoulder injury some time back I started to carry appendix. Now though my sholder is better I have gotten use to carry in that position. Sometimes it is very uncomfortable but so it goes, I carry my P380, LCR, CM9 and P99c all appendix, I just tough it out. A Remora holster helps quite a bit due to the softness. I don't know how anybody could carry a kydex holster in that position OUCH! I think it conceals much better than any other position. You can keep better track if your printing much more than any other position.

My go-to off duty holster is a raven concealment ACR (for a USPc). While I wouldn't describe myself as "skinny", I'm thin enough that appendix carry is the only way I can reasonably conceal a decent sized pistol. Ever since I've gotten used to it my old horseshoe leather hip holster just gathers dust in a drawer.

I have with my Makarov in an inexpensive leather holster. It is uncomfortable for sitting and driving, but it is more concealable than SOtB for running errands and general out-and-about-ness.

A smaller gun would work better.

I also have a bit of extra in the middle, so I watch it a little bit when twisting or reaching at the store.

I sometimes use a belly band also but when I do, I put it up higher, around the lower part of my ribcage. I have a fairly short torso so this puts the grip right about even with my bra line.

Been carrying AIWB sinnce about 2007. It works well for me, 5'10 200lbs. Primary carry is a G19 or a G17 with CT LightGuard in a JM Custom Kydex holster.

I have used Dale Fricke Archangel for years, but it doesn't tuck the grip quite as well as the JM. Also used a CCC Shaggy(very hard to get because of limited production), and it tucks and rides as well as the JM.

The Keeper is another highly rated Kydex AIWB holster, but I have never worn one. DarkStar Gear has a nice one too. Appendix carry is sometimes a hard position to find the right holster for, but when you do find the right one you will know it. Holsters that work for me, might not work for you. Good luck.

tmoore912, the "internet master of pictures of holsters in the wear position".

Thanks for posting yet another great picture. I've lost count of the times I've linked to one of your pictures to help out somebody with a holster question.

Keep up the great work, and don't delete your pictures, please.

I will be soon. I've ordered a Garrett Industries Silent Thunder Slim II (http://garrettindustries.mybigcommerce.com/silent-thunder-slim-ii-appendix-carry/) for my PM9. I'm switching to appendix from 4 o'clock (this'll be a new position for me) for convenience as well as the fact that my IWB 4 o'clock rig doesn't keep the gun snug up against my body if I sit, stand, sit, stand very much. Wish me luck - I'll report back when I get it if I can find this thread.
