There is an Appleseed shoot in Proctor, VT on August 11-12.

These shoots are a great, inexpensive way to get some quality rifle instruction. They are CMP approved for the shooting requirements for CMP rifles. Appleseed shoots are family friendly, Kids under 21 shoot FREE, and Military shoot FREE. The atmosphere is relaxed, safe and has something to offer new and experienced shooters alike.

The Appleseed program is a great way to gain the skills needed to wring your rifle out to 500 + yards. They teach the shooter how to do their job, so that the rifle can do it's job, in an atmosphere that is relaxed and enjoyable.

For $70 for the weekend, this is without a doubt the least expensive, quality training you will find anywhere.
