Recently, a serviceman discovered a cache of weapons in a Dallas loft. The person involved evidently made frequent trips to the Middle East. On other forums, the possession of two AK's, and two high-cap 9 carbines, along with two
( 37mm and 40mm) launchers was seen as benign. Plus, there were only 500 rounds of ammo.
My point being:
In assault tactics, for small teams, a flash-bang launcher, along with 2x2 arms is de riguer. A bird bomb is a form of flash bang.

Beslan, anybody?

Never fear, Ben. The North Texas Terrorism Task Force has been called in. Everything is under control. Move along, there's nothing to see here.

But on another reassuring note, the nooz story says that "Police seized the weapons even though they say they may have been obtained legally."

And to cover all the bases, the obligatory stash of suspected child pornography was discovered in the apartment as well.

[mock_horror] I just can't believe anyone in N Texas could have ties to ME terrorism![/mock_horror]

Pretty sure the news article was bad information. A 40mm launcher is a Class3 DD. I saw the breaking news article when the originally said they were UZI SMG and TEC-9 machine gun. I kind of had a feeling then that media hype. Sure enough, they turned out to be semi's.

Dang. I live in Ft Worth, have a "large cache" of weapons, and have made several trips to the Middle East for business.

Heck I've been to Israel AND Saudi Arabia! I must be working for both Mossad an AQ.

Holy crap! I'm a terrorist!! I should report myself.

Wait I think I hear helicopters. Maybe I should go to

Was what he had actually determined to be child porn? If so, forget about terrorism and guns and such; if he had child porn, fry his ass. No wait, TX prisons will do a much nicer job on sick nuts like that.

500 rounds total???

If someone accused me of having 500 round of any one caliber, I would be insulted. :cuss:
In the last apartment complex I lived in, I was hassled by the maintenance manager because he thought my shotgun ammo stash was exceeding the load rating on the floor under my stairs. Had to agree to cut it down to 10 cases or less....and I did, but I never said I was not going to restock. I just spread it out in several places.

I saw the interview on TV....

with a police spokesperson. The police person said all that was left in the investigation was to ensure the gun owner had the proper permits for the pistols. From the accent of the police person, they were obvously from some other part of the country. You don't need a permit to buy/own a pistol in Texas.......On the other hand, we in Fort Worth call Dallas NYC jr.......chris3
