Finally had time to do one of my camo coating jobs on the new PSA Gen 3 upper and Gen 2 lower.
Still waiting on a sling QD and the powder to start developing loads for it.
Purpose of the rifle was to be a hunting/SHTF bugout rifle for the Idaho cabin.
But it is a pig! With a full 10-round magazine and no sling, it is nearly 10 pounds. My regular .30-06 M77 hunting rifle comes in at 8.5 pounds. Dad and brother both have elk rifles that are under 7lbs fully kitted.
Will have to actually sling it and take it out in the woods to see how it actually feels in the woods to see if it will be just too heavy. Most of our hunting is done with the rifle in hand and walking slowly through brush and on timberlines, so a heavy rifle will get old, fast.
