AR 15 .22LR barrel length and Spikes Lothar

I want to get build a .22LR rifle on an AR 15 platform I planned to build one using the SDM upper from WHITE OAK ARMAMENT, but I was wondering how the 1:7 or 1:8 or 1:9 barrel twists would affect building on this type of round.

Next, is the Lothar Walther upgrade barrel for the Spikes tactical 16" .22 upper worth the extra money?
