AR 15 5 rd magazine for hunting in IL

I'm in IL. Believe I need a 5 rd mag to hunt coyotes. Do they make them?
I don't think you can use a 10 rd and just load 5.

Do I need the 5 rd mag, or can I get by with a 10 rd holding 5 rds.

I cant speak for IL but in MO you cannot use a bigger magazine than what will hold the allowable number of rounds. So you could not use the 10 round mag if you are only allowed to have 5. I really cant think that it would be different anywhere if there is a set limit on how many rounds your gun will hold.
 
I remember my post-ban Colt HBAR MAtch Target came with 5-round mags back in the day. If I hadn't tossed them, I would be happy to send them to you. rjrivero has the best idea - Magpul with a limiter.

Thanks for all the tips on the mags guys. I bougfht the 20 rd P-MAG, with the 5 rd limiters. They install easy and I can grab ahold of the mag to get it out.
Ready to go coyote hunting now!
