AR-15 front sight post dimension request

Could someone please make a quick measurement for me on a standard AR-15 front sight post:
-Dimension A: Height of post from the underside of the flange (where it touches the front sight assembly) to the top of the sight post.
-Dimension B: Thread type (Ex: 1/4-28).

Through some Googling, I found the thread is an 8-36 (NOT the standard 8-32). I have a tap coming from McMaster-Carr for $4.74...

Now for that length...
