AR-15... how much less accurate is a delta ring vs freefloat?

I'll have to decide what I want to do once I determine what cartridge I'm going to build it in. After thinking about it, I realize I need 2 more AR's... I need a replacement 'knockabout' AR, to replace the one I have stashed in NV for when I'm out there, and quite possibly another in 6.8SPC... built for accuracy. The knockabout will be a standard delta ring arrangement, very likely I'll just buy a completed upper from PSA or somewhere, and then I'll invest the money and parts in the 6.8mm build.

Same, same barrel, bullet, load, delta VS free float, free float 1/2 the group size. Why build a delta ring upper for your sporting use? I have not built a delta ring or carry handle gun in 50 years.

I have four 6.8 SPC uppers, changing twists, never could get what I expected or wanted from it. The 6.8 SPC has turned into an answer to a question no one ever asked. Unless you do not reload and even then finding the ammo locally can become problematic. Suggest you look at the 6.5 or 6mm AR-15 cartridges.
