Ar 15 lowers???

What is the deal with buying AR15 lowers? If there is a ban, isn't it gonna be hard to get parts for a build? Which parts are usually affected by a ban? What do you do with a lower to build an AR?

you get the lower now, that is what is considered the "gun" then later you can get the upper(s) that you want and put it on as you please.

you have to do the norm when getting a lower, the nics check etc.

Buying stripped lowers only makes sense if they banned ARs entirely. If they repeat what was done in 1994 and just ban the use of telescoping stocks and flash suppressors on ARs, having a pile of stripped lowers won't get you anywhere. Having complete lowers with 6 position stocks makes more sense if you are hedging your bets.
