I have a 1:8 twist, and run 25.5 gr H4895 under a 60gr Hornady V-Max (Hodgdon book max is 26). I found it to be very accurate. Can't say for sure how it would work in a 1:7, but the V-Max seems to perform very well for a lot of users.25.5 of H4895 and a 55sp works well.
For range ammo:
LC brass
CCI #41 or 450 primer
25.0gr H335
55gr .224 FMJ bullet
I used the same 25.0gr charge of H335 with a 62gr Sierra SP too. That's mine as well. I just fetched some 62grn BTHP bullets for pretty cheap, I want to see how well those do over H335, too.
Same! I just loaded my first 223 loads ever using H335. 23gr-25gr at 2.250”I’m so glad to see several folks using H335. Its nice to know I’m not alone.
As listed above, by several folks 25 grain seems to work as a good base load.

Another vote for H335 from me. I stocked up large containers of it for retirement as my primary range practice load.I don't think I've ever used anything other than H335 in 25 years.
Like to see some pet loads 16 in. 1:9 ROT barrel.
16 inch, 1/14
2.220 COAL
Starline
WLR
No crimp
39 grns H110
250 grn Speer Deep Curl
2100fps
Does that 250gr stick out the end of the barrel?
