I see plenty of punch sets that SAY they are for AR-15's, but I can't seem to find one put together specifically for the AR. As I understand it, the punchs in many sets are really not sized to the AR pins, and there is also a special "taper pin starter punch" for the sight tower taper pins.
Is there somewhere I can get a punch set JUST for AR-15's?

Every punch you will need to work on the AR is found between 1/16" and 1/4". I get my punches from Sears because they have a lifetime guarantee on their hand tools. I have exchanged about twenty 1/16" punches in the last year and they haven't even batted an eye. (Just don't tell them you are a business if you are one or they will not replace them anymore). The only other punch that is actually "made" for the AR-15 is a delrin punch by DPMS for the takedown pins that is non-marring. Definitely worth the money.

I spend $3 for the Harbor freight punch set. And about $6 for the small benchtop vise. At those prices, I can afford to replace them when they go bad.
