I have two older Bushmaster XM15-E2S rifles. Both have very few rounds down the tube. I'm thinking I would like to have some spare parts just in case. Looking at Midway is see a DPMS AR 15 repair kit with the following parts:
A15 Disconnector
Front Pivot Pin
Takedown Pin
Extractor
Gas Rings (3)
Firing Pin Retaining Pin (3)
Detent (Selector)
Takedown Detents
Trigger Pin
Hammer Pin
Hammer Spring
Trigger Spring
AR Firing Pin
Extractor Pin
Gas Tube Roll Pin
Ejector Roll Pin
Rear Base Spring Pin
Trigger Guard Pin
Bolt Catch Release Pin
Buffer Retainer Spring
Selector Spring
Bolt Catch Spring
Detent Spring
Ejector Port Cover Spring
Front Sight Spring
Ejector Spring
Extractor Spring Assembly
Disconnector Spring
Detent Spring
Magazine Catch Spring

Would this be a good kit for the Bushmasters?

A complete ready to drop in spare bolt would be high on my list.

That, and a few spare extractor springs and bumpers, a firing pin, a couple of cotter keys, and a spare extractor are likely all you would ever need.

Unless you take things apart and lose the pieces a lot.

that repair kit isn't a bad kit. i've bought and used a couple of them over the past decade. they're not the highest quality parts, but it's a good little package.

use search as this topic has been done before with decent lists of what is most likely to break and need replacing

I've replaced the gas rings, the ejector spring, the firing pin and the firing pin retaining cotter pin. Oh, and I replaced the barrel after 5K rounds. A spare bolt might come in handy and I saw a guy break a charging handle, he would have been in a bind if someone hadn't one to loan him to finish a match.

Spare bolt ass'y, firing pin and retainer, charging handle. A lot of those other parts could wear out, but only after many many rounds and probably not catastrophically, so no need to keep them on hand, IMO.

Of course you know that one one part that does break or get lost is going to be the very part you do not have in your kit. But for me a complete bolt assembly, Firing Pin, Carter Pin, Hammer, Hammer Pin & and a broken shell extractor.
