I had a Jard single stage that wasn't bad. It was their non-adjustable, which if I were to buy it again I would've gone with the adjustable. It had a ton of creep which I was able to eliminate by putting a screw all the way through the grip. This helped that trigger a lot.
I just traded it out for an Elftmann SE trigger, which I love. No creep and it breaks very cleanly.

At the time of this writing the survey data has you in the majority. I'm curious, which Geissele triggers does your brother have?
I asked him and he doesn't know. I remember it is some drop in unit with a curved trigger. I figure the survey shows what people have but most would prefer something other than the mil-spec if cost was not an issue.

I have Timney drop in Competition 3 lb triggers in my two carbines. They are superb, but pricey. I wanted a cheaper single stage, so I did some research. I found many recommendations for a combo of the Spike's Tactical *Nickel Boron* Battle Trigger Set, JP Enterprises Reduced Power springs, and a Trigger Adjuster grip screw. I tried that combo, and I wont ever buy another expensive trigger. Its not quite as light as the Timney, but its just as crisp. No pre-travel, no over travel, short reset. Total cost is $80. I also have a couple lowers that came with the Ruger Elite 452. For a two stage trigger... its great. Very light break, and very crisp.

I'm a crisp single stage or long DA trigger kind of guy; I find that I tend to 'stage' two-stage triggers to just over reset under duress during a string of fire, and that's a bad habit. Sure, I'd like to get rid of the habit, but after 30+ years of trying I've decided that it's simply not gonna happen and so I've just adjusted to it by changing the types of triggers that I use. As a result, I've used USGI style, Timney, CMC, and Jard single-stage triggers in my ARs.

Both the Timney and CMC trigger packs need (and supply) some form of artifice to hold the trigger in place (anti-walk pins, set screws, etc) due to the loss of the traditional AR FCG springs to hold the pins in location; the Jard doesn't need any help in that regard since it's effectively an adjustable AR-15 FCG.

I have used both Timney and CMC with straight and curved trigger faces; all of my Jards are old enough that they pre-date the availability of a flat trigger. I find that I prefer the flat trigger for bench work but prefer the curved trigger for field work.

My favorite trigger of the three is the Jard - I can adjust it for pull weight, sear travel, and overtravel whereas the Timney and CMC trigger packs are non-adjustable. I currently run with a 5lb return spring and a heavy/XP hammer spring Jard for my hunting rifles, and a 2 1/2 lb return spring /standard hammer spring for my bench guns.

I should point out that the springs in the Timney aren't as high-quality as I would otherwise like, but I've not had any issues with them per se. The need to deflect the hammer spring legs to install/remove the set screws will eventually deform the spring wire if you do this a few times, and IMO spring wire shouldn't do that.

I voted for Timney only one time but put them on 3 DPMS.
But allowed to vote all you want will not give a realistic result considering some will likely push
their favorite.

I have 2 of the Rock River triggers. I have a National Match and a Varmint. The NM is right at 4.5 lbs of pull and the Varmint is 3.5 lbs. Both fill my needs very well.

You can't vote for your favorite more than once. 'Multiple' means that you can select more than one trigger.

Most of the guys I know own multiple AR's and most don't have the same trigger in all of them.

That's cool that you found what you like and stuck with it though.

Alright, so I managed to get a chance to go to the range and test that Geissele G2S-E trigger out.

It's a good trigger, and it seems at home on that rifle. Because of the rain here parts of the range were flooded (they even had a boat out there) and the rest of it was extremely muddy. As a result setting up paper targets was pretty much an impossibility. A 6" steel plate was out there though and looking at the chipped paint from the bullet impacts through a spotting scope I could tell that I was where I needed to be and that the groups were good. Obviously couldn't measure them though.

Unfortunately I also don't have a shot timer on my phone right now (it was deleted to make room for other stuff), but my shooting buddy said that he thought that the AR with the Geissele trigger in it was a bit faster on strings of fire than my Bushmaster AR with a stock trigger. No way of proving it though.

Next time I go out I'll make sure and download a shot timer app since I'm curious to see what my split times are with it vs a mil-spec.

Next trigger I get will either be an ALG Defense ACT or a LaRue MBR. This trigger is going into somewhat of a budget built PSA pistol that sees heavy use. Since it sees quite a bit of use I'd like a cleaner trigger, but I believe that one of the more extravagant triggers would be wasted on it.
