I have come down to 3 different options and I need some input please. I do not expect to be spending time in the desert or in a lake with it but I want it to be tough. This AR is set up for CQB but I still want to be able to reach out there if needed to 300m +. I can't see spending $1200 on a acog that I'm never going to really be able to use when I could spend the same amount and get another Les Baer so the Acog is out, sorry. I want to keep the price under $350 if possible and still have a decent red dot. I might shoot this AR 2 times a month so it's hard to justify the cost of a high end optic. This AR travels with me just about everywhere in the truck in a case so I don't want to worry about zero issues.

Bushnell 1x32 MP trophy. I have heard good things about this but have not seen one in person.
Trijicon Reflex 1x24.
Aimpoint M2.

Thanks for any input..

I have 2 of the Reflex one with the 3.5" dot and the other with the triangle. Given the history and condition I received the 3.5 dot in I am convinced they are very durable and free from many of the maintenance and up keep needed with other sights.
I also have a compact Leupold on another AR as well as an EoTec.
For most ranch/truck gun applications the one with the Leupold is probably the most practical IMO because it makes for a good compromise between speed at low power and close range and the magnification for the 300yd precision shot at the coyote of other varmint.

Aimpoint mL2 or mL3 in a Larue Tactical lt150 or lt129 cantilever mount with 1/3rd cowitness.

A bit over your budget at $550. But it'll last, and it's good for CQB and works out to 300 easy.

I don't mind going to the $550 and above range if I know for sure that it would be worth it. Problem is for me is that once I break a certain price point I start thinking I should just go on and get a ACOG cause I will always have it in the back of my head that I should of all along. For what I need and and plan on doing would I be just as well off with the cheaper Reflex or Bushnell?

Well an ACOG would have a serious advantage at 200+ yards, but the Aimpoint still works at those ranges very well. The Aimpoint is alot faster at close ranges. The Eotech is faster yet, but is having spotty QC problems lately.

I'd recommend this with 2moa dot and lt129 cantilever:

or this: (less expensive)

or this Eotech (least expensive):

These are all overkill but only a bit more expensive. And they'll all last.
