AR pistol build questions

Depends on what you are wanting to do with it. Fun range toy. Big muzzle blast. If for range toy, go short. If you actually want to do some precision long range shooting, go long.

I may put one together sooner or later. I am leaning toward 11" barrel, with a Noveske "flaming pig" flash suppressor, which tends to not only direct the noise away from the shooter, but assists shorty AR15s, whether SBR or pistol, in functioning properly.

One of my mentors regarding "special" weapons favors 11"-barreled entry carbines for SWAT work. I have not tried to remember all of his reasons, but do recall his folks have good luck with 11" weapons.

I used to disdain AR15 pistols, but I am now seeing a niche for a pistol that can share magazines with my AR middy carbine, and use the same Aimpoint Micro T-1 optic I favor.

I would go minimum 10.5, that way I can run a suppressor. Also depending on uses the velocity loss of a 7" barrel may be something you want to consider.
