AR upper in .308?

I'm planning on building an AR here soon on a cav arm receiver, however I recently discovered the ferret50. A single shot bolt action upper for a universal receiver would be wicked, if only it came in .308 as well.


So does anyone make other caliber uppers for a .223 lower?

Lots of choices here - the key restriction (if you intend to build a repeater) is that the cartridge overall length cannot be longer than 2.25" or so. There's 6.8SPC and 6.5 Grendel and 7.62x39 and 458 SOCOM and 50 BEOWOLF and 6mm-43 and 6mm-45 and 6.5mm-45 and 6mm PPC and 300 Whisper and....

On the single shot side, I've not seen anything other than the 50BMG kits.

I'm really after bolt action/single shot uppers. I dont like caliburs I aint got use for, like anyththing between .223 and 7.62 or really abotve 7.62 considering I only hunt coyotes.
