AR15 Night Front Sight

Hey guys couple ?'s for ya. The M4 frankenstein I bought has a Colt A2 rear night sight on it but it's lacking the front one. I really like this feature, especially because I cannot afford an Eotech right now.

Where can I buy a front only night sight post for this? I've also heard that they are substantially wider than normal and my daytime long range accuracy will suffer. Any truth to this?

I also found some night sight paint, it sounds pretty lame but anyone use it? I guess I can't get flamed for this anymore than the guys with 20 dollar red dots on 900 dollar rifles :)

The general conclusion is use front, skip back. Yes, you may lose some precision accuracy, but not practical accuracy. Depending on night vision equipment use, and the brightness of the front sight it can render your NV equipment useless.


From what I can gather the brightest seems to be the XS series, then Meprosights (Israeli company), then Trijicon.
