How many manufacturers of AR 15 style, 243 caliber, rifles are there? Is there one which stands out from the rest?

If so, how so? Any cheap magazine varieties?

Are you asking about rifles chambered for the .243 Winchester cartridge specifically (which would have to be built on the AR-10 platform rather than the AR-15 due to issues of cartridge length), or are you asking about rifles chambered for any cartridge firing a 6mm/.244" projectile (such as .243 WSSM, or 6x45mm, which can be made to work in the AR-15 platform)?

Ugh. I've seen what looks like AR15 rifles chambered in 243. I think DPMS makes one, maybe Bushmaster does, I don't know. So the AR10 platform it is.

Not the AR15.

Sigh.

Olympic or someone makes a .243 WSSM rifle, but the AR15 platform is too small for the .243 Win.

The AR10-style, on the other hand..... DPMS has a .243 win rifle or two available.

ANS... Which ammo does your DPMS seem to like? Are the magazines for your rifle commonly available?
