Just for the heck of it, I think I'm going to turn my second AR lower into a fixed-carry handle, fixed-stock, FA-equipped 20" AR. No quad rails, no gimmicky stuff, just a KISS gov't profile 20" rifle, probably with a 1/9" (though open to arguments for other twists).
If you had to pick between an AR15A1 or AR15A2 to mimic, didn't shoot long-distance matches (not enough so that it's a consideration, anyhow), already had a 16" that you can make into a CQB rifle, had the .22 conversion angle covered, and just kind of wanted to have a fun/KISS 20" iron-sighted, fixed-carry handle AR15, which style would you pick, and why?
EDIT: Before anyone asks, 300 yard (sometimes) and less (more often) shooting=the norm.
