All my current flashlights are either Streamlight or Surefire, but I have heard some good things about ARC flashlights, especially their keychain LED.

Does anyone own one of those ARC LED keychain flashlights?

If so, how to you like it?

Also, where's the best place (i.e. price and service) to buy an ARC online?

:p :D :)

I've got one of the standard lights and I like it a great deal. Plenty bright for its intended use, and well made. I'd like to get one of the premium models as well, which are much brighter.

I have one of the arc keychain lights. It is pretty nice, but a bit bigger than I would prefer. It could also use a momentary switch - it uses a twist operation. If you get it in just the right position, you can push on the head with your thumb to complete the circuit and turn it on, but then your thumb is blocking most of the light....

I own three Arc flashlights...

Two of which are what you're asking about. *LED instead of a bulb. One is a gray "SE" and the other is a maroon Candle Power Forums model.
Both are *single triple A lights. The REASON I have these small lights is that they're so very much brighter than my "TWO *DOUBLE* A" Maglight, which has a bulb~~not a LED. It burned out on me at the worst possible time too. I had to take the Mag apart, retrieve the spare bulb from the end-cap, and install it in total darkness by feel alone...PLUS keep the airplane in the air. Total instrument panel light failure, dark night, at about nine thousand feet. ("Pucker Factor" meter pegged on extreme.) The "CPF" model is carried around my neck on a break-away lanyard every time I fly.
I also own an Arc LSH-P. It runs on a single #123 lithium battery and is brighter than a two "D" cell Maglight. Plus, it fits in the watch pocket of my jeans. Incredibly, I've never changed the batteries that came with my Arc Lights. These little lights are "regulated" by some sort of electronics.
I can't explain that part.

I finally bit the bullet and ordered an LSH-P.
I was debating whether to get this or get an LED conversion head for my Surefire. After much research, it became obvious that the ARC is the way to go.
