I've wondered about this. I've been using inexpensive Winchester white box, Remington UMC and American Eagle out of my Glock pistol. And I'm fine with all of these.
But then there are the expesive brands. I'm talking about factory ammo.

So is there such thing as a specific ammunition that helps out with accuracy than the cheap WalMart/mom & pop store ammo?

Sorry if this is a stupid question. Maybe I'm just asking what's a good type of ammo brand for the range.

As far as target shooting factory ammo is concerned, I don't think you'll find anything more reliable and accurate than WWB.

Now, shooting expensive expanding ammunition is another story. I've had my best luck with Remington Golden Sabers, but my Federal Hydra-Shoks have yielded good results too.

But for just target shooting, stick with WWB.

You answered your own question. WWB, UMC, Blazer, etc is fine range ammo. Yes you'll find more costly ammo that will do better than the best range ammo. Which works best in your Glock will take some trial and error testing. Full blown match ammo like Gold Medal, makes a for the best hole punching ammo but costs way to much to just practice with, plus being a target only ammo it's a poor choice for any kind of SD role. If you have your Glock for a SD/HD role you should find the best performing hollow point ammo in your pistol then use whichever range ammo comes closest to matching that ammo.

I got a a-bolt in 7mm weatherby mag with a standard weight 26in barrel and it shoots inside a inch at 100yds with weatherby factory loaded 160gr nosler part, using federal 160gr partitions it shoots 1-1.25 in at 100yds,using 154gr factory loaded hornady interbonds it is well over a 1.5in at 100yds. I don't know why but it just loves the weatherby ammo compared to the others,by the way I found out that it using 150grn nos. ballistic tips from weatherby it will shoot a 1in group at 200yds off the bench over and over again.:D

Usually, it's up to each individual gun as to the ammo it shoots best. For example one of my .308's likes the really cheapest Federal 150 gr. load even better than the 168 SMK match load.

However you often get what you pay for. In my experience, for rifles, the Federal Sierra Matchking loads are "almost" always the most accurate in my rifles. And I find the same in pistol ammo, but I shoot Remington UMC and WWB for plinking and even IDPA. The more expensive loads are better, for example my Witness Elite Match loves the Corbon 165 gr. load. But it's way cheaper, and almost as accurate, to shoot Remington UMC 165 gr. ammo.

No, no ammo brands are more accurate than others, but some are more inaccurate than others.
