It depends.

Does "throw them off" mean "effective camo that throws them off your trail", or does "throw them off" mean "set them off - set their alarm off by allowing them to see you better"?

If the former, then yes, pink camo does, and is better than blue.

If the latter, then no, pink came does not, and is better than blue.

Reddish/orangish/pinkish ==> Good for the hunter; bad for the ungulate

Blueish/violet, etc. ==> Bad for the hunter; good for the ungulate.

Some people think that deer can see ultraviolet and the far end of the visible violet colors.

You go ahead and wear that pink camo if you want. More power to you!

Tell your husband he's a lucky man. ;)

FWIW, I deer hunted for all of two hours this season and killed a doe @ 20 yards (with a 270 no less, should have carried my .357...)

I was wearing a bluejean jacket, faded jeans, a small game vest that was light khaki and blaze orange. I had a turkey and 3 deer within 50 yards of me and nothing saw me. I was sitting on a ladder stand - not particularly well hidden.

Pink is not legal here, only blaze orange. If it were, my daughter in law would wear it. She's said she wants a pink gun too.

I can understand why she wouldn't want to carry a pink gun wearing blaze orange. That would not be fashionable.

It sounds to me like the fundamental question is whether the lady looks good in pink.
