Are Mossberg 500/590 stocks interchangeable?

Im new to Mossberg shottys, so I apologize if this is a stupid question. Anyway, I just bought a 590 SP (8+1) w/Speedfeed l stock, and while its nice and seems to fit ok, I wouldnt mind a bit shorter stock. I was looking at a Hogue stock w/12" LOP (product #05030), but only saw this thing listed for the Mossy 500.

Does anybody have this stock mounted on their 590 or does anybody know if this stock would work for the 590? Thanks.

Yes, it will fit.

The size difference come with the frame sizes based on the guage of the gun.

12 guage stocks will fit all 12 guage 500-590-835- and Maverick 88 pumpguns.

The autoloaders use different stock assemblies also.HTH

as long as it fits the 500 12 gauge it will fit the 590
i too own a 590 with the speedfeed and thats my go to gun if anything ever goes wrong
