Will a Mossberg 500 stock fit on a 590 ?

Hey guys, the title says it all: I need to know if a standard stock from a Mossberg 500 will fit on a Mossy 590? Thanks in advance for any good info....

the only diferences is in barrels and magazine tubes the 590a has a metal trigger housing . thats about it all other parts interchange . happy shooting

As long as the forend slide sleeve is the same length. The buttstocks will fit regardless. But they have made 2 lengths of 500 slide tubes.

No. Barrels are different, mag tubes are different, mag caps/nuts are different.

I don't think this is accurate. I have both a 500A (12 gauge) and a 500C (20 gauge), both wood stocked. Pretty sure they are not interchangeable ... the 20 gauge stock is significantly slimmer.
