Does anyone know if Argentina has any more Sistema Colts in warehouses that will eventually be sold in the US?

Not all but a great many of those pistols were in pretty sad shape. (even 20 years ago) I've seen a few that were basically not usable without replacing the slide or the frame. Look closely before you buy.

I still see some Sistema's at Gun Shows, not sure if they are the latest imports. I've had a few variants of the pistol, the Navy and Air Force model; fired them and all were excellent...:)
These were two of my Sistema's, stock except Wilson mags and my personal touch on the grips.

Considering the condition of the last batch brought in, I doubt it. They were apparently scraping the bottom of the barrel.

The bottom of a very rusty barrel that had been driven in a truck with no suspension all the way from Agentina....

I got one of those Lipsey's Sistemas. The mechanics were excellent. Only the finish was toast. Refinishing was definitely needed.

My local gun store got a supply of these Sistema Colts in about 5 or 6 years ago and sold them at a discount to club members for 295.00 ea. Most were new in the box with matching s/n's and there were actually a few Navy and Air Force marked. I bought a plain one and have never been sorry. In retrospect, I should have bought a half dozen and socked them away. :)

Bought mine about 5 years ago at a small gun show in Kissimmee Fl from a Colt collector. It had been refinished with matte blue finish and has no special marks but shoots great.Seems to be pretty tight for an old 45.I think I paid $300 for it.

The finish on mine was real nice when I bought it about 10 years ago. I've shot it a lot since then and worn a lot of the finish off. Great pistols for the money. I believe they were $299 plus shipping straight to your door if you had a C&R license. Man, those were the days...

They are getting harder to find. If you do find them in decent shape the price has gone way up. What I was paying $350-400 for 2 years ago is now in the $600 range.
I think I have 11 Sistema's, if you can find one with good internal parts they are worth picking up and having a new/different finish put on them. They are fun shooters.
Here are 2 of my rebuilds.

They're few and far between in my area. I don't have any hopes of someone discovering a few crates in some warehouse and getting a fresh supply of them in. What's out there is likely all there is going to be.

Re: Are there any more Argentine Sistema's out there?

I have 11 of them, so I guess I am good for now. I still look but pickings are slim or overpriced.

Taken today Sept. 29th, 2010.
