I had a S&W 1076 that I liked...actually I liked the round more than the pistol. The grip just seemed to long & threw the ergo's off in my hands :( Anyway, someone at work recently dropped the idea in my head that I should get a Glock 20 & a 357 sig barrel for it. Oh great, another Glock  But, I'd be able to shoot 2 calibers that I really enjoy shooting from one platform [BIG GRIN!] :D
1st off, can this conversion be done reliably & economically?
2nd - Well, this is where I need help. Do I really want to take on these two calibers when I am totally satisfied w/ 9mm & 45 acp?

And for 357 sig...I've heard rumor that HK will have a USP 357 in '04 that might be worth waiting for  What to do? What to do? :banghead:

10mm is on my short list of rounds I want platforms for.

The Glock 20 and 29 are good pieces, but too fat for my widdle hands.

Georgia Arms makes accurate and very reasonably priced 10mm loads. Look elsewhere in the forum for a new manufacturer (Double Tap?) that is making hot, nonneutered 10mm loads for decent prices. (I have no personal experience of this ammo, though.)

Get them you big silly!:p

Have the 1076, 1086, 610, 20, 29.

The Glock grips are a bit fat for me. The .357 Sig in the 20 is great shooting.
IMHO where the .357 should have been to start.

Working on the 646 in 10mm--big secret--do not ask.

I'm going to have to say to stick with what you've got. The calibers of pistols i have now are the only ones I'm going to have. Next thing I buy will be on of the same ones I've already got.

BUUUUUUUTTTTTTT on the other hand:D if you want something just get it.

Don't ask why, ask yourself why not.

I have a Glock 20 and an EAA Witness, both in 10MM. IMHO, the 10MM is one of the finest rounds to come out of the 20th century.

But, you've got to handload to get full potential out of 10MM guns.

Sorry, Charlie!

If you really want someone to talk you out of a 10mm,boy are you in the wrong place!!!! :D Go for it man! Marcus

Get a .400 Corbon barrel for the .45 you've already got. Ballistics similar, and it's a simple drop-in. (.40 Super would be better, but ammo has become problematic. )
Same platform, 2 calibers, much cheaper. And the Glock is too big for your hands anyway.

I overlooked the MIGHTY TEN for many years. My handgun needs in Sin City..were quite different than rural Idaho.

Having also owned a 1076, I just found it to be too big.
My Witness fits me much better and seems smaller.

For those of you thinking about a 10mm..

You have not owned an REAL auto, unless you get a TEN.

Awesome power levels. A handloaders dream..with even more
powerful loads out now like Double-Tap.

Actually .400 Cor-Bon ballistics are markedly inferior to 10mm ballistics, especially with heavier bullets.

You are in the wrong place if you want to be talked out of it.
I just did a deal to get myself a 10mm converted Para 16/40 for Christmas.

Not only could you convert that Glock to .357 Sig, but .40, 9x25 Dillon, and .38 Super. Come on over to the dark side--you won't regret it...

:)
