Armageddon 30 & 40 Round AR10 Mags

Your thoughts on this product, would you buy or pass? Just curious, I already have my opinion of the product but wanted to see responses from others who may not have known about it.

To big, and to heavy. 20 rounds is about as much as you want to go with .308 unless its in a light machine gun.

The reason 30 is about the cap with 5.56 is if they are longer you can't get low enough on the ground. 20's are better in that regard.

They're huge, ugly, and look like a very crude design.

Armalite is offering 25rd mags, which are big enough and I'm sure quite heavy when full. If you need more than that, you need a smaller caliber or a belt.

eeek. Thats one rediculous looking magazine. I guess it would be fine if you wanted to stake your rifle into the ground.

I really cannot see a use for anything over 25 rounds in a .308 rifle. The Israelis went with that for the .308 Galil and it is as long and heavy as is practical. Two Magpul mgazines clipped together will give equal capacity with lighter weight and the ability to get in the prone, which is useful with a rifle.

Unless I'm overlooking something, they don't list any for AR-10s, Just DPMS and Knight Armament.

Edit: fount it in the FAQ, Will not fit AR-10s.
